aboard Pandaw's vessels.
Find out more about the Pandaw vessels and how we lovingly restored them.
Flying up from Yangon to the colonial port town of Sittwe (formerly Akyab and birthplace of the author Saki!) the highlights of this four day trip are the river trip into darkest, lost Arakan and explorations of the superb monuments and sculptures found at Mrauk-Oo. The 15th-18th century capital of the independent Buddhist state of Arakan, the unique art and architecture of Mrauk-Oo is a synchronism of South-East Asian and Indian art. Hotels are basic and this trip is for the serious, intrepid traveller only.
