Pandaw IV is being operated by Merlin, a UK based charity - www.merlin.org.uk - who were already operating in the Laputta area with a good existing network of medics and health workers in the area. The ship is well supplied with emergency kits and medical equipment. There are 6 doctors on board together with paramedics and 20 members of the Pandaw crew who are assisting Merlin in the operation. As of 2 June the number of patients treated on Pandaw IV was 1,907. All patients and vistors are given a meal and a Pandaw Family Box to take home.
