Pandaw II is being operated by Save the Children in association with the Rangoon Pun Hlaing Hospital. A team of Burmese doctors and paramedics are on board. She is now in situ at Nga-pyi-daw south of Bassein with 7 doctors and a load of supplies.
Each ship is treating over 200 patients a day who are coming in by boat from the surrounding countryside. They start arriving at 3am and are all given a meal as are any family members accompanying. Pandaw crew are also giving the needy bags of rice and the Pandaw Family Box to take home.
