Exploring Myanmar (LTB07)

For travellers unsure about committing themselves to a longer expedition cruise on a Pandaw this extended version of our Classic Myanmar tour additionally includes the magical hill station of Pindaya and the tranquil paradise of the great Inle Lake. Other highlights are of course Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay. The tour includes a very restful and relaxing two night Pandaw cruise in the middle. Hotels and services are of a high level and this tour is suitable for all travellers.

Day 1: Arrival Yangon (Lunch / Dinner)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport by morning flight. Meet and transfer to hotel. Lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, begin sightseeing visit to colorful downtown Yangon, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda.- a colossal reclining Buddha Image, a scenic photo stop on beautiful kandawgyi Lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda - 2500 years old the world famous golden stupa. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon-Heho-Pindaya (B/L/D) by flight

After breakfast at hotel, morning transfer to airport. Fly to Heho by flight. Arrive at Heho Airport and drive up to Pindaya - a small quiet town famous for its millions of years old caves, deposited with thousands of pagodas during the past centuries. On the way, enjoy the scenic view of the mountains and the countryside. After lunch sightseeing of Pindaya Cave, traditional Shan paper making and umbrella making cottage industry. Dinner and overnight at Conqueror hotel.

Day 3: Pindaya - Inle Lake (B/L/D)

After breakfast at hotel, morning drive to Inle. Boat trip to Inle Lake - the second biggest lake in Myanmar famous for its unique leg-rowers and the scenic beauty of its spawling lake. Transfer to hotel for check-in. After check in, sightseeing Inle by boat. Tour highlights are Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda; famous for it five Buddha images enshrined in the temple, Ngaphechaung Monastery; well known because of jumping cats, traditional ways of fishing and floating gardens. Lunch and dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 4: Inle Lake (B/L/D)

After breakfast, continue Inle Lake sightseeing include Indain village with its idyllic 16th century pagodas. We can also visit to Inpawkhone village; famous for its Silk weaving handlooms. Lunch and dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 5: Inle-Heho-Bagan (B/L/D) by flight

Transfer to Airport. Fly to Bagan by morning flight, a royal capital of the first Myanmar Empire, one of the most wondrous archaelogical sites in Asia. Whole day sightseeing of Bagan include Nyaung Oo market, Shwezigon Stupa - the prototype of later Myanmar Stupa, Htilominlo Temple- the largest temple of Bagan, Ananda Temple- 11 A.D of most beautiful Architect Temple, Thatbyinnyu Temple- the highest temple of Bagan. Then visit to Lacquerware factory, Dhamayan Gyi Temple- the most massive Temple in 12 A.D, Myinkabar village and Manuha Temple, Nanphaya Temple - beautiful Stone Curving and Gu Byauk Gyi Temple - 12 A.D mural painting. Sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 6: Bagan - RV Pandaw (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to jeety to embark RV Pandaw and Afternoon departure (12:00) pm from Bagan. Overnight at RV Pandaw.

Day 7: RV Pandaw (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit to Theingone Village in the morning and Yandaboo village in the afternoon . Overnight at RV Pandaw.

Day 8: RV Pandaw - Mandalay (B/L/D)

Arrive at Mandalay Shwe Kyet Yet Jetty at (10:00 ) am. Our guide will pick up and visit to Mahamuni Image - a bronze Buddha image casted during the lifetime of Buddha himself, Gold leaf beating worshop & Handicraft place. Lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, transfer to hotel for check in. After check in, Mandalay sightseeing include: Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exqyisite wood carvings, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world's Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures and Sunset at Mandalay Hill. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 9: Mandalay - Amarapura - Mingun - Mandalay (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to Amarapura . Tour highlights are: Wood carving & Bronze castling workshops; Mahagandaryone Monastery- where one may observe the daily life of the monks studying Buddha's scriptures, U Bein's Bridge - 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge and Silk weaving home cottage. Lunch at a Restaurant. After lunch, boat trip to Mingun where the world largest hanging bell exist. sightseeing include: Mingun Pathodawgyi (Unfinished Pagoda), Mingun village and environ. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay-Yangon (B/L/D)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for departure to Yangon by flight. Arrive at Yangon airport and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing Yangon city including visit to Sule Pagoda - the heart of the Yangon City surrounded by various colonial style building. Lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, we will proceed to National Museum - which is filled with cultural exhibits from Myanmar's colorful past, Bogyoke Market - formerly know as Scott Market: souvenir shopping center. Lastly, visit to Botataung pagoda - the landmark of Yangon's riverfront. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 11: Yangon Departure (B)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure.
