       Yim Choong Hing: Chief Executive Officer

Yim joined Pandaw in November 2009 following a varied career in the hotel industry with his last appointment as COO of Millennium and Copthorne International. An American national, Yim was educated in Scotland at Fettes and at Herriott Watt University where he read economics. Yim has taken over from Paul Strachan the day to day running of all Pandaw operations working from a new base in South-East Asia. Yim looks forward to supporting all our Pandaw teams in the five countries we operate in with a hands on management style. He also looks forward to meeting our passengers and getting to know our many travel industry partners. Yim's vision is to take Pandaw to new levels of excellence through team building, quality control and developing deeper partner relationships.

       Alexander Scheible - Hotel Director

Alex is a German national who lives in Phnom Penh. He has a strong food & beverage background having previously worked in international 5-star hotels, such as Le Meridian, Sheraton, Intercontinental and Hilton on all 5 continents (Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Cambodia), as well as on board seagoing cruise ships, cruising around the world. Alex has been involved in various hotel openings and concept developments in Africa and Asia and has a Master Diploma in Food Service Managements from Cornell University, USA.

        
         Eleanor Milner: Marketing Manager

Eleanor is based at our Edinburgh office working as Marketing Manager. She joined Pandaw in March 2009 after 10 years working for Cox & Kings Travel - most recently as Head of European Sales & Marketing for Cox & Kings India (the Indian Destination Management Company). Before that, Eleanor worked as the Business Development Manager for Cox & Kings UK, the London based Tour Operator. Beofore joing Cox & Kings in 1998, Eleanor worked for a specialist cruise company Swan Hellenic.

         
         Helen Perrin: Reservations Support Manager

Helen joined Pandaw in June 2009 and works in the Edinburgh office as Reservations Support Manager. She previously worked in London for Noble Caledonia in a number of roles, including Product Manager, Operations Co-ordinator and Marketing Co-ordinator.

 

        
         Alicia Brett: PR, Marketing, Reservations & Web Executive

Alicia joined Pandaw in October 2009 and works in the Edinburgh office as Reservations, PR, Marketing and Web Executive. Alicia is a recent graduate of Events Management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

 

 


         Bee Nguyen: Accounting & Finance Officer

Bee is a Vietnamese national who has been at Pandaw since 2008 and looks after our accounting and finance systems based in our Saigon office. Bee has been in travel and tourism for 4 years working in the past for Vido tour, Asian Trail and Indochina Service.

 

       
         Nwesu Hlaing –  Manager Yangon Office

Nwesu has been with the company since 1999 when she joined our old Inya Road office in reservations. Nwesu still takes care of local Myanmar reservations, sales and marketing in addition to overseeing our entire operation there. Nwesu has made an outstanding contribution to the growth and development of our operations in Myanmar. Based at the Inya Lake Hotel, our partner hotel in Yangon, she enjoys meeting our passengers as they pass in or out of Yangon and ensuring a smooth stay.

         
         Quong Cuong: Special Projects Director

Cuong was instrumental in setting up our Mekong operation from the outset in 2001 to opening in 2003. Vietnamese by birth, Cuong is a marine engineer who embarked on a second career in the travel industry in the 1990's. Cuong combines his expertise and takes care of government formalities and the repair and maintenance of our ships in Vietnam.

        
         Mrs Kep Kanharoath: Purser

Roath is from Cambodia and started working for Pandaw in 2005 as an administrator. Two years ago she was promoted to purser, our first lady purser, and is now our senior Mekong purser with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience. Roath is a graduate of banking and finance from the Royal University of Economics & Law in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

        
         Neville Josef: Purser

Neville is from Myanmar and joined the company in 2002 as a cocktail barman. He transferred to the Mekong as barman to train local Cambodian and Vietnamese staff. Three years ago he was promoted to assistant purser on the Mekong and quickly rose to full purser in recognition of his hard work and dedication to the comfort and care of our pasengers. Neville is now back from India where he has been stationed for six months starting up our India cruises. Neville will be transferring to Borneo to take over our highly popular Rajang cruises.

        
         Win Hlaing: Purser

Win Hlaing is well known amongst Pandaw passengers for his high level of service and care. Win Hlaing was trained as a hotel manager at the Rangoon Savoy Hotel  and joined Pandaw in 2002. Win Hlaing takes care of food and beverage, housekeeping and all aspects of the day to day running of a ship in a professional and serious manner. Win Hlaing moves between our Burma and Mekong ships taking charge at peak times when a manager of his experience is needed.

       
         Myo Kyaw - Purser

Myo Kyaw is from Myanmar and joined Pandaw in May 2002.   Prior to working for Pandaw, Myo Kyaw was based at the Inya Lake Hotel as a barman where he worked from 1995-2001.  Myo Kyaw was working as a Pandaw administrator before being promoted to purser of the RV Mekong Pandaw in 2009.

         Glenn Wellsmore: Expedition Manager

Based in Sibu, Sarawak; Glenn joined Pandaw in 2009 and has helped initiate the sightseeing excursions for our new venture on the Rajang River in Borneo. Originally from the Snowy River country in Australia where he ran a ski and snowboard business, Glenn has always had a keen interest in adventure travel. He moved to Sibu with his Malay wife in 2008, giving up a high profile position in Sydney commercial property development to experience living in Asia and pursue his travel interest. With Pandaw, he has found the perfect outlet for his talent to develop excursion potential.

       
         U Hla Win: Marine Superintendent

Based at our shore office in the Mandalay Port, U Hla Win is a marine engineer with a 25 year career working with the Inland Water Transport behind him. U Hla Win joined Pandaw in 2002 and takes care of vessel maintenance and engineering, planning trips, arranging pilotate and other logistical matters particularly for our longer expedition cruises that operate in tricky river conditions.
