We suggest that if satisfied with the service you place a gratuity in the envelope provided and hand it to the Purser on the last day aboard. We give everybody - staff and crew - an equal share and make sure that those in the kitchens or engine rooms all benefit as well. The amount would be at your discretion, but if an indication is required we suggest USD5 per passenger per day. Please note that you are under absolutely no obligation to make any gratuity at all.
All bills on board ship will be in US$ in cash or credit card. In the case of credit card payments, we must follow an 'off line procedure' whereby the client must sign a paper whereby s/he allows the company to charge his credit card for a stated amount. We take Visa and MasterCard only, not Amex or JCB. We do not take personal cheques or traveller's cheques.
Exact details will be posted on the Daily Schedule and if there is to be an early departure then we will ask you to settle the evening before we disembark. If you are disembarking at Siem Reap you will most likely transfer from the mouth of the Tonle River on to a speed boat for the 3 hour lake crossing. This is the best boat available and the newest. We offer free cold drinks and cold towels for this and members of the ship's crew accompany passengers on the transfer to ensure they are properly cared for.
