Taung Ba Lu Village Middle School and Medical Centre

This village is across the river from Pagan yet receives few or no benefits from tourism other than the fact that one of our old staff comes from there and alerted us as to local conditions. The children were receiving no education as the river crossing (it is 3 miles across) is hazardous and for them costly as a K100 tax must be paid on all river crossings! 

Noble Caledonia of London, one of our oldest partner agents, have generously donated US$5000 towards the project which has given the project a fast start. We are currently seeking a further US$5000 with which to complete the project. Once the school has been built we  propose to sponsor a medical centre with doctor as the sick have similar problems getting medical assistance from across the river.
