Yandabo School

The pot-making village of Yandabo has been a popular Pandaw stop for over a decade. Previously the school was a bamboo shack, now a splendid brick building stands with several classrooms, electricity from a generator and pump for the well. Teacher housing has been built and last year a clinic and house for a paramedic built adjacent to the school. There are 133 children aged 5 to 12 with 5 teachers (better student teacher ratio than most UK schools!). Given the minuteness of government salaries we sponsor the teachers and provide teaching materials.
