POST PHNOM PENH 2 NIGHTS - AMANJAYA PANCAM HOTEL

Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, is the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is massive, art deco Central Market.

 

DAY 1

PHNOM PENH CITY TOUR

Leave your luggage and join the Phnom Penh City tour. You will visit Phnom Penh and will be provided with your own private cyclo*. The Cyclo Centre Phnom Penh which provides the cyclos is a charity that provides basic welfare and medical services to cyclo drivers. After lunch, optional excursion (by coach) to the Killing Fields and the Khmer Rouge's grim Tuol Sleng or S21 detention centre. This tour is included in the cost of your cruise but must be requested at the time of booking in the comments box. Lunch on the ship. Overnight at your hotel.

DAY 2

COOKING CLASS & VISIT TO POUR SOURIRE D’ENFANT

Go to the local market where chef will explain you about Cambodian fruits, vegetables, herbs and how to choose seasoning products. You’ll be given enough time to walk around and take pictures and observe vendors selling their products. Upon arrival at Cooking Class’ venue a refreshing ice tea and cold towel will be waiting for you.

The Chef will perform a cookery demonstration of the dishes that you will have to prepare!?And you will receive a booklet with the recipes of the day.?Assisted by our Chef you will learn and experience the traditional Khmer cuisine.

Afterwards it’s time to taste and enjoy your own culinary creation in a convivial Khmer setting.

In the afternoon we will pay a visit to Pour Sourire D’Enfant (PSE) – a French non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in March 1996. The NGO aims to help underprivileged children and school dropouts in Cambodia.

DAY 3

PHNOM PENH

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Transfer to the airport.
