PRE PHNOM PENH 2 NIGHTS - AMANJAYA PANCAM HOTEL

Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, is the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is massive, art deco Central Market.

 

DAY 1

ARRIVE PHNOM PENH

Arrive in Phnom Penh. Transfer to hotel. Free time. Overnight at your hotel.

DAY 2

COOKING CLASS AT FRIZZ RESTAURANT WITH MARKET VISIT

Enjoy a classic Cambodian cooking class. In the morning travel by Tuk Tuk to the local market accompanied by our Cambodian chef with the aim of selecting the best locally grown ingredients. Cambodia is blessed with an abundance of world-class produce and your guide will explain the culinary and medicinal significance of what is found depending on season. After the market experience, both students and teachers will return to the kitchen where each student will have his own fully equipped cooking station. The remainder of the morning will be used to discover Cambodia unique culinary techniques; afterwards, students will enjoy their own creations in a relaxed setting.

DAY 3

PHNOM PENH CITY TOUR

Transfer to the ship after breakfast. Leave your luggage and join the Phnom Penh City Tour. You will visit Phnom Penh and will be provided with your own private cyclo*. The Cyclo Centre Phnom Penh which provides the cyclos is a charity that provides basic welfare and medical services to cyclo drivers. After lunch, optional excursion (by coach) to the Killing Fields and the Khmer Rouge's grim Tuol Sleng or S21 detention centre.This tour is included in the cost of your cruise but must be requested at the time of booking in the comments box.

Amanjaya Pancam Hotel

Sometimes it’s all about the location, and this Cambodian hotel certainly delivers in that category.
