Following breakfast, you will journey south through the Cardamom Hills toward the border of Tamil Nadu, arriving at the world-renowned Periyar National Park (95km, 3 Hours). This pristine wildlife reserve is celebrated for its temperate climate, rolling forested hills, and rich biodiversity, sheltering nearly 2,000 species of flowering plants, 140 varieties of orchids, and majestic mammals including wild elephants, bison, sloth bears, and elusive Bengal tigers.

Upon arrival in Periyar, you will head directly to a private spice plantation tour to discover how ancient crops like black pepper, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and specialized ayurvedic herbs are cultivated. After this rewarding interaction with the local cultivators, you will check into the eco-friendly Spice Village resort in time for lunch (arranged on your own account). The remainder of your afternoon is yours to relax by the pool or enjoy a traditional wellness therapy at the spa center. In the evening, guests will gather at the resort's open-air amphitheater, where a resident naturalist will deliver an insightful presentation on the wildlife, history, and indigenous tribal communities of the Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Awaken to the early morning light for an interpretive nature trek through the diverse ecosystems of the national park.
