Day 1
You will be warmly met at the airport by your private driver and escorted to your dedicated vehicle for a seamless transfer directly to your selected hotel in Phnom Penh (provided privately, without a guide). Please note that the official hotel check-in time is at 14:00. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy completely at your leisure, allowing you to settle in and explore the charming French colonial avenues or the scenic riverside promenade as you wish.
Day 2
Savor breakfast at your hotel before meeting your professional, English-speaking local guide to begin a captivating full-day tour. Your exploration begins at the legendary Wat Phnom temple, the sacred sanctuary that marks the literal founding place of the city, perched gracefully atop Phnom Penh's only hill. This remains a wonderful location to witness local life as residents gather to pray for good fortune. You will continue to the Sosoro Museum of Economy and Money, a masterfully designed institution that utilizes currency as a narrative thread to tie together more than 2,000 years of Cambodian history. Through interactive multimedia displays, ancient coins, and historic banknotes, you will discover rare pieces from the Funan kingdom showcasing early trade with Rome, and learn how a cashless economy during the Angkor era may have influenced the empire's ultimate decline. The exhibition beautifully illustrates the evolution of the region through the French protectorate, the radical economic experiments of the Khmer Rouge, and the late 20th-century foundation of the modern Cambodian Riel. Following a curated lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon takes you into the vibrant, labyrinthine lanes of the famous Russian Market. This bustling hub is renowned as the finest location in the city for sourcing intricate wood and stone carvings, fine jewelry, traditional garments, and exquisite handwoven Cambodian silk souvenirs. You will return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel followed by morning free time for independent relaxation or last-minute sightseeing. Please note that the official hotel check-out time is at 12:00. At the appropriate hour, your private driver will collect you from the lobby for a comfortable, air-conditioned transfer (without a guide) to Phnom Penh International Airport for your onward flight. The journey to the airport spans approximately 25 kilometres and takes around one hour.
