Day 1
Welcome to Cambodia! Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your private local representative and transferred directly to your hotel for check-in. Take this initial time to unpack, settle into your room, and ease into the tranquil atmosphere of this historic gateway city.
The remainder of your afternoon is yours to enjoy completely at leisure, allowing you a quiet opportunity to relax after your travels or explore the local neighbourhood at your own pace. In the evening, gather at the hotel restaurant to enjoy a wonderful welcome dinner before retiring for your first night in Siem Reap.
Day 2
After an early breakfast at your hotel, step out at 08:00 to explore the majestic temple of Angkor Wat, a 12th-century masterpiece built by King Suryavarman II and recognised as the world's largest religious monument. Your expert guide will lead you through its grand concentric galleries and central sanctuary, pointing out the extensive, remarkably preserved bas-relief carvings that depict epic Hindu legends and historical battles.
Following lunch at a local restaurant at 12:30, our afternoon adventure begins at 14:00 at Ta Prohm, the highly atmospheric "jungle temple" where the massive, twisting roots of silk-cotton and strangler fig trees have entwined spectacularly through the ancient stone ruins. At 15:30, we continue to Angkor Thom, the grand walled capital of the late 12th century, to marvel at the two hundred enigmatic smiling stone faces of Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, before concluding the day with dinner at a popular local restaurant.
Day 3
Following breakfast, we dedicate our morning to discovering inspiring local humanitarian initiatives, starting at 08:00 with a visit to the Satcha Centre to meet local trainees and learn about their vocational training, hospitality, and sustainability projects. At 10:30, we progress to the APOPO Visitor Centre to witness a fascinating live demonstration of the life-saving "HeroRATs," specially trained giant pouched rats that safely detect landmines and support vital public health programmes.
After enjoying a freshly prepared lunch at a local restaurant at 12:30, the afternoon from 14:00 offers a peaceful optional rural village excursion or local craft demonstration, providing an authentic glimpse into Cambodian countryside life. In the evening, transfer to the acclaimed Phare Cambodian Circus for a high-energy contemporary performing-arts show that directly supports free education and professional training initiatives for underprivileged youth, followed by a delicious farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4
Following a final breakfast at your hotel, depending on your departure flight, we will transfer you to the Airport for your onward journey.<.p>
