RV Laos Long Tail Pandaw

Pandaw's own long-tail boat transports guests between Vientiane and the town of Pak Lay during our 10 night Laos Mekong expedition. Purchased in 2023 as very low water levels around Vientiane forced us to revise our sailing schedules and find alternate ways to reach the Laos capital without resorting to busses.

Refitted and furbished in typical Pandaw style, the long-tail boat quickly became a firm favourite with guests who enjoyed experiencing the fast-moving rapids on the way to Vientiane whilst still on the river. With full facilities including a bathroom, kitchen and most popular of all, a fully stocked bar, these river adventures are now a permanent fixture of our new itinerary in Laos and we look forward to welcoming you aboard our long-tail boat and Pandaw vessels in Laos.

 

 

We were worried that leaving the boat early because of low water levels was going to be a bit of a letdown, but the journey on the smaller longtail boat was just as exciting and spectacular
