Pandaw Staff Picture Prize Winner and Photo - 10th October 2016

This week's Pandaw Picture Prize goes to this shot of a beautifully presented and (we hear) delicious tiramisu, taken by its creator Aung Htet Paing (26).

Mr Aung is a rising-star "commis chef 1" with Pandaw, currently delighting diners on board Pandaw II. His boldly modernistic version of the classic Italian coffee-and-marscapone desert gives a flavour of the ambition and flair of Pandaw's food and beverage operation under our brilliant food and beverage manager Stuart Hickman.

A graduate of Burma's catering training academy Shwe Sa Bwe ("The Golden Table") Aung is currently on his third season with Pandaw, cooking up a storm under Stuart's watchful eye:

"This season he has had a roving role across our fleet" says Stuart "It's part of my strategy to multi–skill and cross-train food and beverage teams as the ships begin the season".

As you would guess from the artistry in flair with he has reinterpreted the old-favourite tiramisu, this young chef's passion and ambition mark him out as a future Pandaw head chef. Great news for our passengers, though perhaps not for the slimmers!
