Equatorial, hot and humid climate, Alter do Chão is a fishing village with sandy beaches and clear waters located on the right bank of the Tapajós. It is now the main tourist spot of Santarém, it’s the most beautiful freshwater beach in the world according to the British newspaper The Guardian, being popularly known as Brazilian Caribbean. One of the best spots of the Amazon is Green Lake separated by a sandbar with the Tapajos River. At the bottom of the lake, we visit the enchanted forest by canoe under the trees.
