PHNOM PENH AND SIEM REAP

PHNOM PENH AND SIEM REAP

Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

Duration
3 OR 4 NIGHTS

Overview

Combine the ancient temples of Angkor in Siem Reap with Cambodia’s bustling capital city Phnom Penh with this expeditions on the Tonle and Mekong Rivers.

There can be no tapestry of river life as fascinating and varied as the River Mekong. Indeed there can be no more striking a cultural contrast as that between the bustling Vietnam delta and the tranquility of Cambodia. We pass from the vibrant French colonial port of Saigon, through the vast delta so rich in human life and endeavour, to travel along the main channel into the rich countryside of Cambodia. With a full day in charming Phnom Penh we then explore remoter waterways as we progress to the great monuments of Angkor.

HIGH WATER NOTICE: During the months September to November, water levels may rise significantly leading to issues accessing the Tonle Sap River. During this time, we may replace itinerary points on the Tonle Sap with sailing north to Kratie and excursions at the dolphin grounds.

"The cocktail waiter and his young assistance were smiling fun!"

Hi Angie,

Just a note to say we are safely back home in Hua Hin following our flight from Phnom Penh.

We had a lovely cruise!
The boat is beautiful!
The food was a delight to see and very tasty!
The site seeing was just right.
The passengers we met were charming people.

But, I need to talk about the crew. They were always smiling, helpful, courteous and polite. Questions were answered and requests acted on promptly! It's difficult to single out individuals, but to mention just a few: Mr Long, the tour guide: his memory was incredible he remembered all our names and he had details and dates about all our visits. He is a huge asset to your company. The saloon staff, in particular, Hong & Lak, were very good. The cocktail waiter and his young assistance were smiling fun!

I know from the experience of 40 years with the Royal Navy, that ships only run smoothly if there is a good leader, I have to say that Mr Saroun, the cruise manager, provided this leadership to a very high standard! He is to be commended.

Please also pass our good wishes to our fellow passengers who will be leaving from Saigon on Saturday.

I have had many friends, both here and in UK, who have been asking about the cruise and Pandaw, rest assured, my feedback to them will be one hundred percent positive.

Kind regards,
David & Mon, Thailand
